Moun

Moun lives in rural Cambodia, and lost her father to Tuberculosis when she was just six years old.

Like so many other impoverished Cambodians, Moun was forced to drop out of school. Since then, she has helped her family by scavenging in the garbage dump.

Sadly, Moun has since contracted Tuberculosis, too. Because of her difficulty breathing and talking, she is no longer able to scavenge. And though Moun is married and has three children, her husband is out of work as well.

Thankfully, we have been able to provide Moun with an alternative form of income that is easier on her body: making cards.

That’s why we provide Moun with the resources and training she needs to make cards. Then, through Work of Your Hand, we place and purchase an order of cards that are shipped to North America to sell.

That income from card sales are helping Moun and her husband stay afloat. Thank you for partnering with impoverished people like Moun. You are truly changing the lives of living, breathing people—one purchase at a time. Click here to learn more about the cards that are made in Moun’s village, and to purchase an order.
