Helen T.
Lives a life of sacrifice due to her abusive husband.
Helen is fifty-five, and is married with six children. Her husband often gets drunk and abusive, throwing rocks at their house until it is full of holes. During these times, Helen hides under the table until her husband grows tired.
Because her husband is a drinker, Helen is left with the responsibility of caring for her children and providing them with the necessities of life.
How she got started in this livelihood project:
Helen has sewn all her life, just like her sister Glee who sews for Ginapadala. When a large order came from Work of Your Hand to Ginapadala International, Helen moved to her sister’s home until the sewing project was complete. Glee wishes to spare her sister from further abuse, and wishes Helen could live with her forever.
